Person fatally shot, another injured at apartment complex in southwest Houston, authorities say
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston police said they are investigating after a man was found dead in a southwest Houston apartment complex on Monday morning.
The Houston Police Department said they were called to the La Carmona apartment complex on South Gessner near Jason Street at 4:30 a.m.
At the scene, officers said they found a dead man with gunshot wounds.
Police said they don't know what led to the shooting, but said they heard it could have been a robbery.
An investigator at the scene told ABC13 the man was shot during an alleged hold-up.
The investigator said the victim was with a friend who was roughed up during the hold-up and taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
Authorities said no one has been arrested, but investigators are looking for surveillance video.
